Hello. I live in Southern California in the U.S.A. I live in a small suburb called Simi Valley
The weather has cooled and I am so glad of that. Summer's are very warm here. I am a retired business woman
and live with my husband of 30 years. We have 4 grown children and 7 grandchildren. I like to work in my garden
and cook. I also do oil painting. I recently had my 70th birthday. I am lucky to have many good friends who have
been taking me to lunches and dinners for about 2 weeks. But now it is time to get back to normal living.
Right now I am searching for a part time job and have had some response to my resumes. The one I like the best is
at a hospital where I would be working in the accounting department. I check in the forum every day and have made
a few nice friends from it. The people on the forum are my only contact with Buddhist friends as I have not
yet found a dharma center near enough to travel to. I am going to see the Dahli Lama next May in San Jose and this
is very exciting to me. Thanks for listenting to this long winded post.
Metta to all, Grace
