I think they are our main opponents and competors. The most profound and backgrounded critics of buddhism I' ve found in the book "Teaching of Lord Caytanya" by Shrila Prabhupada. This book is considered as the highest holy book (higher than "Bhagavadgita" and "Shrimad-Bhagavatam") by vaishnava philoshopers and contains a lot of doctrine strongly criticizing teachings of Shankara and Buddha. I've been thinking about this problem for eight years and still can't remove doubts regarding buddhism caused by this book. So it's main trouble in my life. And I still hope somebody helps to solve it.Metta and good luck !
