I must admit, I'm rather disturbed to hear all this talk about boycotting people. That is definately not what I meant! When you boycot a product, it's an ideology that you boycot. Just because I don't buy from China doesn't mean I don't enjoy Chinese food or culture or people. This isn't about people. Surely as Buddhists we should embrace all people of the world, our best friends, right through to the people who hate us the most! The young boy in the sweatshop is seeking happiness, just the same as the head of Nike is. Let us never boycot people, and let us realise the difference between people and their actions! We cannot think that Chinese people are bad, or greedy, or barbaric, Just in the same way as we cannot think that Americans are bad or greedy.
Let us love one another, and each of us do what we can in our own way to aliviate some of the suffering of the world.
Bless you all...Aaron.
