Hi, It has been quite some time since I have been to this sight. I am rather saddened by the thought. There are days that I feel so close to you all and yet we are so far away. As I write this, I am sitting in Omaha, Nebraska USA. My 5 year old son is watching cartoons, my 4 year old daughter is running back and forth between the computer/office room and the television. My husband of 10 years is at work. He works in the evenings. We have recently installed a cable modem (metta to technology) which enables me to communicate with the outside world at the speed of light nearly.
I was especially saddened by Savaka's posting. He is loving a world that I would love to lead. I recently read an excellent book "Autobiography of a Buddhist Nun" by Ayaa Khema She write how she was able to let go of her tangible life, husband, children, possessions and devote herself to Buddhism. There is a deep longing in me to do that, there also however is the longing to provide everything for my family. I don't see a way that the two will ever meet. We thanks for letting me rant, it is always appreciated.
