Danielle:

You might be able to get a clue as to what to do from a very interesting little book by a fellow named Mel Ash. His book is "The Zen of Recovery." While his book is primarily directed to recovering alcoholics and addicts, it is also a great basic description of the Dharma and Zen philosophy and practice.

Ash is a being a certified Zen teacher he is active in the First Unitarian Church of Providence, Rhode Island. Evidently, the Unitarian Church allows the geatest leeway for Buddhism and Christianity to find their maximum common ground (which actually is very considerable when you get into the nitty-gritty).

Besides, the book is fun.
